Paint in some grass starting about 1 inch from the top right of your painting. Work down at a diagonal towards the left side of the canvas. After painting a line of grass a couple inches thick, change the Scale: setting to 100 and finish the grass to the bottom of your canvas. You should have something that looks similar to this (8). |

Create a new layer and name it Far Trees. In the Tool Options Roll-up dialog box choose Mixed-Trees from the Tube: menu. Set the Scale: to 40 and the Step: to 500. Paint in a line of trees following the top contour of the grass so it leaves about half the sky showing. Adjust the layer opacity to 66. You do this in the Layer Palette (6). You make the adjustment by moving the sliders in the middle section of the palette. Create a new layer and name it 4-Trees, then set the Scale: to 100 and paint in another line of trees. Set the opacity at 75. Your painting should look like this (9). Save your work now. |
