Summer Landscape Painting
|
| This
scene is a bright sunny day, about noon, so there should be a shadow
almost directly under the D-Tree.
Select the D-Tree
layer, click on
Effects > Objects > Create Drop Shadow.
When the Drop Shadow dialog box appears uncheck the Collapse
to one layer box if it is checked (27).
Leave all other settings at their default.
Click OK.

|
|
In the Objects palette, Layers
section, click on the Gray Triangle of the Layer 2 and
Shadow layer bar to access the Shadow sub layer. Click on the Shadow bar to select It (28).

|
|
Drag
the shadow layer to the middle of the canvas.
Click on Effects > Orientation > Distort.
Drag the Distort Selection dialog box off to one side so it
is out of the way.
Press the ‘M’ key, hold down the ’Alt’ key
and click once on the image to reduce it to 50% magnification (29).
