Create a Transparent Layer filled it with a dark green instead of black, set the Image Hose to Small Random Linear/Cover/Soft Cover. I clicked on the To Selection box and painted in the base layer of grass using 2 different nozzles I created to look like distant grass. Next I added spots of grass using different nozzle settings on the Nozzle Scale slider (2% to 15%). In the Art Materials palette I chose a mid-green as my Secondary Color, adjusted the Grain slider to about 70% and added shadow areas to the middle ground of the painting.
