| In the Objects palette, on the right side
of the Layers section bar is the layers menu icon (circled in red)(11).
Click on it to access the menu and choose the Drop and Select
option (11a).
Click once inside the selection using the Layer Adjuster tool to turn it back
into a layer. Deselect this
layer. Press the Ctrl
+ A keys to select the entire canvas.
On the program task bar click on Edit > Clear.
Press the Ctrl + D keys to deselect the canvas.
You should have something that looks like this (12).
Save the file as CD_3. |

In the next few steps we will add all the text to
our label. Read Chapter 15
‘ Working with Text’ in the Painter 6 Users Guide
for a better understanding of how use text in your projects. In the Objects palette expand the Dynamic Layers
section and click on the D TEXT icon (13),
and drag (tear off) a new Custom palette (14).
If we were using this palette once there would be no reason to do
this, but we will use it 5 or 6 times before we are done. Close the Dynamic
Layers section. Double click on the D TEXT icon and the Dynamic
Text dialog box appears.
