| In the Art Materials palette (4) select the Colors section, click on the section icon (upside down gray triangle) or click on the word Colors to expand the palette. Choose Green as your Primary Color. Press the K key and click once inside the Marching Ants to fill the selection (5). Press the F key to access the Layer Adjuster tool and click once to turn the selection into a layer. Painter™ defaults with Layer Marquee turned off, to turn it on press the Ctrl + Shift + H keys. Save the file as CD_1. |

On the program task bar
click on Canvas > Rulers > Show
Rulers. To set the Ruler
Guide lines simply click anywhere on the ruler and the black guides
will appear automatically. Use
the settings in example (6). The top settings also work for the side.
Select the Green Layer.
