Lighting Basics

I created a new light and named it R_Bow.  To move this light from one library to another, press the Ctrl +Shift + L keys to access the Lighting Mover dialog box (14).  Open the library you want to move the light to.  Click on the light icon you want to move and drag it into this library.  If you want change the name of a light click on the Change Name... button, the Change Lighting Name dialog will appear (15). Type in a new name (Bullwinkle) and click OK.  To delete a light, select it and press the Delete button.

When I first began making lights I filled the default library until it became a huge file. This was because I kept loosing the new libraries I had created.  I kept overlooking the fact that my new libraries use .LIT as an extension while the program default uses .SET.  You have to choose the right one under Files of type: in order to load them.
The more you play with lighting schemes, the more  you realize just how powerful they are, and how much they can enhance just about any graphic they are applied to.
