This
wont do.
What has happened is the Transparent
Layer is just that, TRANSPARENT!
The drop shadow of the leaves needs color to be seen.
Painter creates the layer but fills it with White automatically. The
Gray shadows are a result of the mixing of the original Black color and the
White fill color of the TL.
Press Ctrl +Z to undo the
leaves.
Click on the Bucket Tool
in the Tools palette or press the letter K fill the layer with Red and apply the leaves again.
You now have Red shadows.
Press the Backspace Key to delete this layer and create a new one.
To fill the layer with the same color as the background, go the Art
Materials palette.
Click on the Primary Color Box.
Using the Adjuster Tool
(the pointing finger), press the Ctrl
key, or press the D key
and click once on the background.
The Primary Color automatically becomes the same as the background color,
notice the Art Materials has updated from Red to the background
color.
Fill the Transparent Layer.
Paint some leaves, they now look the way they are supposed to.
