P5 Jungle How To

I have created 4 more shaft gradations for your use if you want to add more light shafts to the painting.  They are located in the Lighting folder.  The file name is Lightshaft.GRD.  Create the floaters by drawing a freehand selection with the lasso tool.  Fill the floater like you did the first one.  The process is the same.   Here are the other floaters at 100% Opacity so are easier to see (36).  I changed the colors because that is the way I see light at times.  I added some extra floaters of these shafts of light for you to experiment with.  I set the Opacity anywhere from 15% to 42%. You will see the light rays differently. Move the layers of light around, have fun with them.

Example (37) represents the finished painting.  There are many ways I could tweak the colors, saturation, hue and value.  Working on the sunrays and creating different atmospherics can become so involved that literally hours go by before I stop and realize time’s a wasting.  I just save and move on.  I probably will make changes after not looking at it for a while.  I always find something that should be done to improve the piece.  The great thing about digital art is you can make changes easily as long as you save on a continuous basis. I try to save after every major effect but generally save only 2 or 3 versions of a painting.  I hope you like the tutorial and the  finished painting.
